Manmohan Singh-led congress policy group to arrive in Srinagar tomorrow

Srinagar: The Congress’ Policy and Planning group led by former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is arriving Srinagar on two-day visit starting on Saturday.

The group will meet various delegations from Kashmir Valley including Opposition Parties, at Hari Niwas, Srinagar, as per the programme.

The Group comprises Former Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Gulam Nabi Azad (LoP in Rajya Sabha), Ambika Soni General Secretary AICC.

Apart from meeting various delegations former Prime Minister is all addressing PCC Executive at 1150 Hr on 16th and CLP meeting on 17th Sept at 9.30 AM, at Hari Niwas, Srinagar as mentioned above.

The group will meet 30 delegations during its two-day visit that begin on Saturday.

The group, formed following the continuation of fragile political and security situation in the Valley, aims to hold dialogue with all stakeholders and help for peace building in the state.

The group, according to the sources, was constituted after the senior leader Tariq Hameed Karra urged the party high command to take concrete steps regarding the resolution of Kashmir issue.
