Delhi bound Indigo flight develops snag in radar equipment, makes emergency landing

Srinagar: A Delhi bound indigo flight had to make an emergency landing at the Srinagar international airport as the plane developed a snag in the airplane equipment.

“There was some snag in the radar equipment of the flight, so the plane had to make an emergency landing,” the director airport, said, while talking to the FreePressKashmir.

Earlier, reports had said that the pilot had to apply brakes at the runway before taking off.

“IndiGo 6E694 developed snag and pilot had to apply breaks while it was to take off,” a report in Kashmir reader was quoted saying. Kashmir Reader is a daily newspaper based in Srinagar.

When asked whether the plane had faced issues at the runway, the director airport while speaking to the FreePressKashmir said that “Nothing like that. The plane had taken off and had to return and make an emergency landing. There was a one-hour halt while the engineer was sent and fixed the radar issue.”

According to the authorities, the plane successfully took off after the repair.

But two passengers travelling on the plain maintain that the plain suddenly stopped after gaining pace on the runway and never took off.
