Hajin shootout: Two LeT militants, two air force commandos killed

Hajin: Two militants associated with the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit and two air force commandos were killed in an shootout in the Hajin area of Bandipora district on Wednesday.
According to the police, a joint party of 13 RR, SOG and JKP where laying siege to the Rakh village in the Hajin area when militants fired upon them.

In the exchange of fire, two commandos of Garuda Commando Force got injured and later succumbed to their injuries. The commandos were operating with the army for operational experience and training.

The deceased were identified as Cpl Neelesh Nayan and Sgt Milind Khabar.

Meanwhile the slain militants have been identified as Abu Bakr alias Ali Baba and Nasrullah Mir, son of Nazir Ahmad Mir, resident of Hajin. Both belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit, police said.
