Ghaziabad: Two days after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s WagonR car which was allegedly stolen outside Delhi secretariat has been found in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Saturday morning.
The car was found abandoned on a service lane in Mohan Nagar area near Narender Mohan Hospital by a passerby who informed police following which cops reached the spot and towed the car to Sahibabad police station.
“We have recovered a blue WagonR car belonging to AAP from a service lane near Narender Mohan hospital in Mohan Nagar area on Saturday morning,” said Hari Narayan Singh, SSP Ghaziabad.
“After details of the car was shared with Delhi police it turned out to be of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal which was stolen from near Delhi secretariat two days ago” added Singh, Times of India reported.
No one has been caught for the theft. However, the police expects to identify the accused from the CCTV footage.
The blue-coloured WagonR car, registered in the name of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which was used by Kejriwal earlier, was being used by party’s media coordinator Vandana Singh.
The Wagon R was gifted to AAP by an Indian living abroad and was dubbed the “AAP Mobile” and got plenty of mileage in the news when the Delhi Chief Minister used it to camp and sleep in during a controversial protest against the Delhi Police in 2014.
