Demands immediate withdrawal of SRO 202, redressal of all pay anomalies as agreed

Srinagar: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) President EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani said that SRO 202 regarding newly appointed employees after 2010 is totally unjust with the poor non-gazetted and Class-IV employees of the state who are putting their sweat and blood for resolving the problem for common people even in difficult situation.

In a statement, Wani said that this SRO has created confusion among the newly appointed employees in particular and the highly educated youth in general. He said that their SRO is quite contrary to the equal work equal wages law and demanded immediate revocation of this anti employee law.

EJAC president also took a serious note of not redressing the issue of pay anomalies cases and showed his serious resentment in resolving pay anomalies cases on influence and favoritism basis. “On the one side govt. had announced on the floor of the assembly that all pending genuine pay anomalies cases would be redressed before implementation of 7th pay commission and on the other side Finance Department has issued SRO regarding redressal of pay anomalies of employees of fire services vide govt. order No. HOME-247 of 2018 Dated: 15-02- 2018.”

Wani said that they are not against the redressal of pay anomalies of these employees but ignoring the pay anomalies of other departments becomes a cause of concern for every employee which will not be tolerated if not stopped at once.

He demanded that casual labour of local bodies, Municipal Corporations and PSU’s and contingent paid employee of Education Department should be included in SRO 520 and exclusion of these poor employees from the SRO and regularization process is share injustice with their poor employee and any delay in their inclusion in SRO will compel EJAC to decide its future course of action for justice.

EJAC president also urged upon the govt. to speed up the process of regularization of temporary employees and issuance of SRO/Reckoner of 7th Pay Commission at an earliest.
