The water body that was once a source of food for Srinagar, is dying a silent death.
Just five kilometers away from the Srinagar City, a few middle aged men share their worry. “It isn’t just Khushal Sar which is dying, but people who live in it, and depend on it too,” they say.
Once known for its crystal clear water, and food that grows in it, like Nadru and fish, Khushal Sar is now toxic and stinking.
