JK Police Crime Branch arrests senior bureaucrat for tampering with birth records

The Jammu and Kashmir Police Crime Branch has arrested a senior bureaucrat for tampering with his date of birth records.

IGP Crime Branch Afhad-ul-Mujtaba told Greater Kashmir that they have arrested MD Khan, administrative secretary of ARI & Trainings department, for changing his date of birth.

Khan had earlier served as the administrative secretary of consumer affairs and public distribution department and Agriculture Production department.

This is the first time in recent years that a bureaucrat of an administrative secretary level has been arrested.
