Bad weather halts flight operations in Srinagar, Airport runway closed till 3 pm
Srinagar: Due to bad weather, flight operations were temporarily suspended at Srinagar airport on Saturday.
“Landing/take-off [of flights] temporarily suspended at Srinagar airport due to bad weather/snowfall,” said the Information department on Twitter.

It said the flights are lined up at the tarmac, waiting for the weather to improve.
“Flights lined up on tarmac, waiting for the weather to improve,” read the tweet.
In another tweet, it said the runway has been closed till 3 PM due to snowfall and poor visibility.
Kashmir valley has been receiving rains and intermittent snowfall since Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of MeT department said that the weather is likely to improve from tomorrow.
