Indo-Pak escalation: It’s because of Kashmir (issue), says Imran Khan

Prime Minister of Pakistan while addressing a joint session of parliament said that the reason of escalation between India and Pakistan is Kashmir dispute.

“All of this is because of Kashmir,” PM Khan said while addressing a joint session of parliament.

“I want to ask the Indian public about all that has happened over the past 4 years. There is an indigenous movement in Kashmir. At one point, Kashmiri leaders had not wanted separation, but because of Indian brutality, today all they demand is independence.”

“Shouldn’t they ask why a 19-year-old agreed to become a human bomb?” he said while referring to the Pulwama attack in which 49 CRPF personnel were killed.

Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit had claimed the responsibility of the attack.

Khan asked for how long will Pakistan be blamed for everything happening in Kashmir.

“Einstien’s theory of madness is ‘doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. How long will Pakistan be blamed for everything in Kashmir? And asked to take action without any proof?”

Khan also mentioned that although India had blamed suicide attacks on ‘Islamic radicalism’, it was a common tactic employed by Hindu fighters belonging to the Tamil Tigers prior to 9/11.

“They weren’t doing it because of their religion. Suicide attacks are a weapon of the weak. They are done out of desperation,” the PM said.

Khan while hailing his country’s media said that they didn’t create any war hysteria and indulged in war mongering.

“If their (Indian ) media had seen what our media has seen over the past 17 years, they would not have created this war hysteria.”

The Pakistan Premier also said that a gesture of peace, they would be releasing captured Indian pilot Abhinandan tomorrow.
