IAF strike: Congress accuses Modi of ‘politicizing terror’, asks BJP to come clean on number of casualties

As Government of India is yet to comment on the number of casualties after the IAF strikes in Balakot and IAF chief declining to comment on the issue, many Congress leaders have questioned the strikes and have asked for proof.

While Punjab Minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu questioned if it was an election gimmick, former Union Minister P. Chidambaram asked who put the number of casualties at 300-350.

In another tweet, Chidambaram said:

Senior party leader Kapil Sibal has also sought proof of the strikes destroying the biggest camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pakistan and accused Narendra Modi of politicising the issue.

Earlier, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh had questioned the air strike in Pakistan and demanded proof.
