JKLF Chief Malik booked under PSA, to be shifted to Kot Balwal jail, says Spokesperson

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik was booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA), and is being shifted to Kot Balwal jail, said a party spokesman on Thursday.

“Malik sahab has been booked under the draconian law, Public Safety Act. He is being shifted to Kot Balwal jail in Jammu,” he said.

Malik, who was detained on February 22, was lodged at Kothibagh police station. “Today morning, he was informed that he has been booked under PSA and will be shifted to Kotbalwal jail,” said the spokesman.

JKLF strongly condemns this “arbitrary arrest” and use of PSA against a political leader, he said. He termed it as a “glaring display of frustration” of Indian rulers and their abettors in Jammu and Kashmir.
