Srinagar: In the aftermath of the violence that broke inside the Central Jail of Srinagar, the authorities have imposed restrictions in the Downtown area of the city.
Moreover, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman of the Hurriyat (M) has been placed under house arrest.
Reports said that restrictions have been imposed in parts of Srinagar’s Old city including Nowhatta which houses the historic Jamia Masjid. Barricades have been erected at several places to curtail the movement of people.
