Kathua case: Fit case for handing out capital punishment, hope decision would be reviewed in higher courts: KCCI

Srinagar: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the professional investigation conducted by the Special Team of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and speedy delivery of justice by the Special Court in the heinous murder and rape case of a eight year old girl of Kathua.

The spokesperson of the KCCI stated that the heinous nature of the crime had made it a fit case for handing out capital punishment to the guilty and we hoped that the decision would be further reviewed by higher courts.

The KCCI also felicitated the Special Investigation Team (SIT)of J&K Police led by Aftab-Ul-Mujtaba , R. K. Jalla, Naveed Peerzada and other members of the team who carried out their duties in a professional manner despite the high pressure hostile environment the case generated.
