1,41,028 have recovered from the virus so far
India reports 9,996 fresh COVID-19 cases and 357 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, making it the ninth consecutive day of reporting over 9,000 cases.
State health officials have been supervising the public health measures being taken in order to control the deadly virus in the cities with most cases like Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
India’s coronavirus tally has reached 2,86,579 with Mumbai having crossed 51,000 cases, Delhi having reported more than 31,000 cases and Ahmedabad and Chennai having recorded 15,000 and 22,000 number of cases respectively.
The death toll has reached 8,102 so far.
In Rajasthan, 51 people tested positive for the coronavirus and 5 deaths were recorded till 10:30 am with the total cases rising in the state to 11,651 as per a report by Economic Times.
Pertaining to the drastic rise in the number of positive cases, the Delhi government has asked all labs to give test results within 24 hours.
