Anantnag: Amid ‘Ragdo, Ragdo, China Ragdo’ slogans, BJP workers set effigy of Chinese president on fire

Ananatnag: BJP workers from South Kashmir’s Anantnag held a demonstration ‘against China’s aggressiveness’ in the Galwan Valley region of Ladakh and set an effigy of  the Chinese president Xi Jinping on fire.

The BJP workers marched up to Dak Bungalow Khanabal and raised slogans against China. They set the photographs and effigy of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The protesters raised slogans like ‘Ragdo, Ragdo China Ragdo’ and ‘China haye haye’.

One of the protesters said that China is under-estimating India’s strength. He said that China will repent if it continues to show war posturing.

The protesters condemned the killing of Indian soldiers and said,“if our country needs us, we are ready to serve it.”

On Monday night, at least twenty Indian army personnel, including a Colonel, were killed in a violent face-off in Galwan Valley of Ladakh.

As per the statement of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the incident took place “as a result of an attempt by the Chinese side to unilaterally change the status quo there.”

Protests were held against China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Jammu, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Indore, Kanpur, and other places. People burnt Chinese flag printouts, A-4 size posters of Xi Jinping and China-made products.

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a protest was held by Congress workers on Tuesday evening, where they shouted anti-China slogans.

In Ahmedabad, Gujarat protestors burnt flags and shouted anti-China slogans.
