Srinagar: Pakistan government has approached the Islamabad High Court seeking to appoint a counsel for Kulbhushan Jadhav in order to implement the verdict of international Court of Justice (ICJ).
Reports said that Pakistan has moved the Islamabad High Court for the appointment of a legal representative for Kulbhushan Jadhav in order to adhere to the verdict of ICJ.
On July, 19, a day after Indian officials met Kulbhushan Jadhav in Islamabad Pakistan after being granted second consular access, Pakistan offered India third consular access to meet Jadhav.
Pakistan had given first consular access to India in September 2019 after an order from the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Jadhav, 50, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage in April 2017, following which India moved the International Court of Justice in May.
