Court restrains KCCI from taking any decision, keeps in abeyance Sept 19, 2019 verdict

Srinaagr: The additional 4th district and sessions Judge, Srinagar, in his order issued on Wednesday in the case of Zubair Mahajan and others verses Kashmir Chamber of commerce and Industry and others, has restrained the President of KCCI Sheik Ashiq, Senior Vice President Nasir Hamid Khan, Junior Vice President Abdul Majid Mir, Secretary General Farooq Amin, Joint Secretary General Sheikh Gowhar Ali and the Treasurer Manzoor Ahmad Pakhtoon from taking any decision in respect of KCCI.

The Hon’ble Court has also kept in abeyance the decision of 19 September, 2019 by virtue of which the office bearers’ term of office was extended.

They have also been restrained from operating, themselves or through their employees or agents, the bank accounts of the Chamber.

However, for the purposes of making necessary day to day expenses the defendant numer 7, Manzoor Ahmad Pakhtoon has been authorized to sign cheques in his name and person till the time the court many issue any other order in this respect.

The expenses such made shall be recorded and submitted to the Court every month, the judge decided.

The Court has also fixed September 22, as the date for deciding the matter of appointment of the receiver as prayed by the plaintiffs.
