Kulgam: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was shot dead while two others sustained injuries in an attack at Y K Pora area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday evening.
Reports said that militants fired upon the party workers including BJP’s Yuva Morcha General Secretary for Kulgam, Fida Hussian, Umer Hajam and Waseem Ahmed. In the incident, Hussian lost his life and two others have sustained injuries who were subsequently shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, armed forces personnel have cordoned off the area and searches are going on.
