Authorities ‘detain’ two senior PDP leaders, Mehbooba Mufti says ‘Gunda Raj’ in JK

Srinagar: Two senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, including the maternal uncle of JK’s former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, have been “detained”, PDP said on Monday. The detained include Sartaj Madani, uncle of Mufti, and Peer Mansoor.

In June this year, authorities had revoked PSA detention against the duo together alongside former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal.

“Total lawlessness as PDPs Sartaj Madni & Mansoor Hussain have been arbitrarily detained today on the eve of DDC election results. Every senior police officer here is clueless as it is  ‘upar say order’. No rule of law in J&K anymore. It is out & out Gunda Raj,” Mehbooba Mufti said in a tweet.
