Armed forces personnel posted at Budgam dies of cardiac arrest

Srinagar: In yet another case of sudden death, an armed forces personnel died of cardiac arrest at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura Srinagar on Monday.

Official sources said that a 50-year-old forces personnel belonging to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who was undergoing treatment at SKIMS, died after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Monday morning.

Officials have identified the deceased as Sudhir Partihar of C-coy 86 Battalion CRPF Budgam.

Pertinently, from last more than two months, Kashmir has been witnessing a surge in deaths due to heart-related ailments and those who died were mostly in the twenties or thirties.
