Kulgam: Four armed forces personnel were injured in a grenade attack in Shamsipora on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Kulgam district on Wednesday.
In a statement, a Srinagar based army spokesman said that militants lobbed a grenade on Army’s Road Opening Party during the sanitisation drill at 1015 hours today in general area Shamshipura, Khanabal, Kulgam. In the attack, four personnel sustained injuries and were subsequently evacuated to 92 Base hospital, he said.
Meanwhile, forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the area and searches are going on.
