Srinagar: Hajira Begum, 72, mother of a senior Journalist and NDTV’s Srinagar bureau chief Nazir Masoodi, passed away on Friday evening at SKIMS, Soura.
As per family sources, Hajira was not keeping well and was admitted at SKIMS for the past few days. She breathed her last yesterday evening and was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
A number of people including journalists, politicians and businessmen expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
