Criminals Sukhvinder and Lakhan from Punjab arrested for conspiring to kill Sushil Pandit: Delhi Police

Srinagar: The Delhi Police has said that it arrested two people for conspiring to kill Kashmiri Pandit Activist Sushil Pandit. As per the police, the duo are residents of Punjab and were arrested in R. K. Puram area of New Delhi.

“2 criminals Sukhvinder Singh & Lakhan from Punjab were arrested today. They were sent to Delhi on behest of one Prince who is facing murder trial in Faridkot. They were promised Rs 10 lakhs if they assassinated Sushil Pandit who is supposedly a human rights activist,” Southwest DCP of the Delhi Police said.

“Two pistols, two country-made guns and four live bullets recovered from them. The seized pistol is of the kind, manufactured in Pakistan,” the police added.

The police have registered a case under Section 120 b of Arms Act and Section 115 (Abetment of offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life—if offence not committed) of the IPC.

Currently, the duo being interrogated by the police.
