Sopore: Suspected militants lobbed a grenade on a police post near Bus Stand in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
Official sources said that militants hurled a grenade towards Police Post at Bus stand. However, there were no immediate reports of damage or any kind of loss due to the attack.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sopore, Javaid Iqbal told news agency Kashmir News Observer that the grenade was lobbed at Police Chowki Sopore. “Grenade was lobbed and there are no reports of injury from the spot,” he said. “We are verifying”.
Meanwhile, armed forces have cordoned off the area and searches are going on.
