COVID: JK reports 105 infections, no death in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday witnessed 105 COVID cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,264, however, no death was reported in the last 24 hours.

With no more death, the death toll in the UT has stood at 4,407 and 105 positive cases reported on Monday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 3,25,253.

Of the exact number of 3,25,253 cases, 202248 are from Kashmir division and 123005 from Jammu division.

Among 105 new cases, 75 belong to Kashmir division while 30 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 202248 including 199079 recoveries and 2241 deaths while as a total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached 123005 including 120503 recoveries and 2,166 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,264 including 928 from Kashmir division and 336 from Jammu.

With 117 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 319582 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.

Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as the black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally reaches 44.

As per the daily information bulletin, 3215413 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,471 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,264 persons are in isolation.
