COVID: JK reports 168 infections in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 168 COVID cases while there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

They said 15 of the cases were reported from Jammu and 153 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 327941.

There was no death due to the virus during the same time. So far, 4,416 people have died— 2,169 in Jammu division and 2,247 in Kashmir.

Giving district-wise details, officials said that Srinagar reported 92 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 20, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 12, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 5, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 3, Doda 6, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, they said, 154 more patients have recovered—26 from Jammu and 128 from Kashmir. With them, 3,22,032 people have recovered. There are 1,493 active cases in JK—227 in Jammu and 1,266 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far, 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in JK, the officials added.
