In DC Comics’ Injustice series, Superman destroys all military equipment in Kashmir, declares it an arms free zone

One of the oldest American comic book publishing company, DC Comics, in its new animated movie Injustice 2021, feature Superman and Wonder Woman who “destroy every piece of military equipment in disputed Kashmir” and declare it “an arms free zone.”

The story is set on an alternate Earth where the Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane and her unborn child, which sends the hero on a path of destruction.

Superman decides to take control of Earth while Batman and his allies try to stop him.

Superman’s only support is Wonder Woman, who joins him in putting an end to the violence around the earth. Their aim in the film is to “meet violence with violence”.

Directed by Matt Peterson, leaked earlier this month, and released in India on 19th October, the DC Comics film is facing a lot of criticism from its Indian fans, many calling the two super heroes who destroyed the jets as “anti-India”.

Many even recognised the animated jets as India’s MIG-21.

In the film, however, it is not specified in the dialogue whose military equipment is superman actually destroying, yet India has taken it to heart.

“In disputed Kashmir, Superman and Wonder Woman destroyed every piece of military equipment, declaring it an arm free zone,” a news representer reads in the film as the media reports what Superman is up to.

The Indians are demanding that the movie should be banned in India.

“DC fans in India, show some patriotism and cancel [Injustice]. This is hideous. Propaganda anti-India narratives should be busted,” one person wrote on Twitter.
