Shopian: A military operation against militants has started in Check-e- Choland area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Check-e- Choland area after receiving the inputs of the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of armed forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering the operation.
