Poonch grieves over death of former lecturer and social activist Nazar Hussain Nehvi

Members of socio-religious groups hold condolence meet in Poonch.

Poonch: Former lecturer and social activist Nazar Hussain Nehvi of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district passed away on Wednesday in Jammu hospital.

Nehvi was one of the founders of Khatim-ul-Anbiya Library, Poonch which has around 4000 important literary texts.

Ammar, who holds a membership of the said library says, “the deceased used to spend his hard-earned money to fill the gaps in the library.”

He also established Fatima Zahra Welfare Trust which majorly focused on giving underprivileged classes access to education.

Meanwhile, Hoza-e-Ilmiya Imam Mohammad Baqer of Gursai Poonch, in a press release, called the deceased a pious soul.

Akbar Jaipuri Memorial Committee Kashmir while offering condolences said, “It is a great loss for the community and people of Poonch, he had been a noble personality and a pious person who lived all his life preaching religion and helping people”.

Shia Federation Jammu has also offered sympathies and prayers for the bereaved family.
