Pakistani militant involved in killing of 2 cops in Bandipora, IGP says
Bandipora: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that a lone Pakistani militant is involved in the attack in the north Kashmirs Bandipora district.
On Friday, two personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police were killed in Bandipora after militants attacked the armed forces party.
Inspector-General of Police and General Officer Commanding of the army’s Kilo Force chaired a joint meeting. GOG Kilo Force visited to Bandipora, inspected the scene of militant attack, official sources said on Saturday.
The officers reviewed operational works and instructed field officers to generate specific inputs and enhance anti-militant operations in the district.
“A Single Pakistani militant came and fired upon the driver and one PSO of SHO but couldn’t snatch weapon due to retaliation by second PSO”, the IGP said.
He said that a single Pakistani militant of LeT carried the attack yesterday, adding, ” two OGWs have facilitated him”.
