Srinagar: The Government of India (GoI) has informed the Parliament that 206 militancy-related incidents were reported in JK till December 5 this year against 244 in 2020.
Replying to a query about how many militancy incidents took place in JK in 2021 and 2020, the Ministry of Home Affairs India replied that 206 militancy-related incidents were reported in JK till December 5, this year against 244 in 2020.
“Estimated net infiltration in JK this year was 28 (bids) till October 31 compared to 51 in the entire year of 2020,” the reply reads.
The Home Affairs also informed the House that over 2500 people below 30 years of age were arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act from 2018 till 2020.
“Maximum arrests during this period were in UP (931) and JK (366),” the Ministry added.
