Haridwar: Hindutva members including former Uttar Pradesh Waqf Board Chairman Waseem Rizvi aka Jitendra Tyagi has filed a complaint against Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) and the first three Caliphs, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, Hazrat Umar Farooq, and Hazrat Usman Ghani, may Allah be pleased with them.
The Hindutva members in the complaint held them responsible for the violence against individuals who do not believe in Islam.
Tyagi who has been accused in the recent hate speech case has submitted the complaint to Haridwar police.
Although the police have received the complaint, no FIR has been registered so far, New Indian Express reported.
In his complaint, he further made a statement that Quran was propagated as the book of Allah (SWT) without any basis.
A video shared by journalist Ashutosh Bhardwaj showed a police officer receiving the complaint by Hindutva members amid claps and slogans of Har Har Mahadev.
In a video, Annapurna is heard telling to policeman ‘show us that you’re not biased.’ Narsinghanand who is the main organiser of the Haridwar hate assembly is also heard saying ‘he (police officer) is biased and our side.
Last week, an FIR was lodged against Jitendra Narayan Tyagi and other Hindu right-wing members for inciting violence against the minorities.
The case was registered under IPC Section section 153A — promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language — and the matter is under investigation.
Tyagi, who changed his name from Waseem Rizvi after converting to Hinduism earlier this month, and other speakers at last week’s event have been accused of making extremely provocative speeches and some video clips of it are doing the rounds on social media.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had also demanded the strictest action against those who ‘incite violence’ and said that such acts violate the Constitution of India and the law.
Later, a police complaint was also filed by the congress politician against the hate speeches with Jwalapur police station in Haridwar.
Hitting out at the remarks made at the Haridwar conclave, Priyanka wrote on her Twitter handle, “Strictest action should be taken against those who incite hatred and violence of this kind.”
“It is despicable that they should get away with making an open call to murder our respected ex-PM and unleash violence against people of different communities,” she added.
Trinamool Congress national spokesperson Saket Gokhale had also demanded action against the organizers and the speakers of the ‘Dharma Sansad’ where hate speeches were made against Muslims.
During the three-day event, the Hindu right-wing members including Sadhvi Annapurna Maa, Dharamdas Maharaj, Anand Swaroop Maharaj, Swami Sagar Sindhuraj, Swami Prabodanand Giri, Swami Premanand Maharaj, BJP member, Ashwini Upadhyay, and the party’s Mahila Morcha member, Udita Tyagi, called for a Hindu Raj and violence against Muslims.
