Pulwama: Three militants including a Pakistan-based militant belonging to Jash-e-Mohammad outfit were killed in a military operation in Chandgam area of Pulwama, police said on Wednesday.

Police said that three militants associated with Jash-e-Mohammad outfit were killed in a military operation in Chandgam. One among the slain was a Pakistan-based militant.
“Incriminating material including arms and ammunition including 2 M-4 carbine and 1 AK series rifle was recovered from the site of operation,” police said.
Earlier, a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Chandgam on a specific input about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of armed forces intensified searches, the police said hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
Meanwhile, Internet services have been suspended in Pulwama district.
