Military Op against militants underway in Budgam, says police
Budgam: A military operation against militants is underway in Zaloosa area of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said on Thursday evening.
An official said that a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
An official confirmed the exchange of firing between militants and armed forces.
