Srinagar attack: One among 2 injured armed forces personnel succumbs, say officials 

Armed forces on spot as attack leaves one of the two CRPF personnel dead on April 4, 2022..

Srinagar: One among the two armed forces personnel who was critically injured in a militant attack in Maisuma Srinagar on Monday succumbed to his injuries, officials said.

Medical Superintendent SMHS Kanwaljeet told Global News Service that one of the CRPF personnel who was critically injured has succumbed, while another is stable.

Earlier, officials said that two armed forces personnel were injured after being shot by unidentified gunmen in Maisuma area of Srinagar.

Official sources had said that CRPF personnel were fired upon by the unidentified gunmen in Maisuma near Dar building.

The injured were later shifted to the hospital for treatment; however, one of them has succumbed to injuries now.

Earlier in the day, two non-locals were also injured after being attacked by unidentified gunmen in Lajurah area of Pulwama district.

An official had said that militants fired upon two non-local labourers in Lajurah Pulwama, who have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

He identified the duo as Patlashwar Kumar, son of Joko Chowdary of Bihar who has a right arm injury and Joko Chowdary, son of Thaugh Chowdary of Bihar, who has injuries in his right arm and right leg.

Pertinently, on Sunday evening, militants fired upon two non-local labourers at Nowpora, Pulwama, leaving them seriously injured.

The wounded labourers were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. They were later identified as Surinder, son of Bishan Singh from Pathankot and Deeraj Dat, son of Susheel Dat of Pathankot.
