Govt teacher suspended for corporal punishment in Rajouri

Jammu: A government teacher posted in Rajouri has been placed under suspension and attached to an administrative office after allegations of corporal punishment to a female student of the school surfaced.

The allegations of corporal punishment against the female student were leveled by her parent.

The father of the student alleged that she was beaten up by a school teacher terming it as a matter of ‘religious interference’. He alleged that she was beaten up by the school teacher which is unacceptable.

Meanwhile, the district administration has initiated an inquiry asking Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka to initiate an inquiry and to submit a report.

The district administration has further ordered the attachment of said teacher namely Nisar Ahmed in the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka.
