Kulgam: An armed forces personnel was injured in an ongoing military operation against militants in Redwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
A top police officer told Global News Service that an army personnel was injured in an ongoing anti-militancy operation in Redwani. He was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital, where his condition is said to be stable, the officer added.
Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the Redwani area as the armed forces team received input about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces intensified searches, the hiding militants fired upon the forces leading to the operation.
