Project EduAccess joins hands with Kashmir University to hold workshop on studying abroad

Srinagar: Project EduAccess in collaboration with the Centre for Career Planning and Counselling, University of Kashmir is organizing a free, three-day in-person workshop on studying abroad.

This workshop is generously supported by the Thatcher Development Award of Somerville College, University of Oxford.

The workshop will be held from 29 – 31 August 2022 from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the University of Kashmir. The exact venue will be communicated to the participants.

The aim of the workshop is to equip students interested in pursuing studies abroad with all the necessary knowledge and skills required to make an application.

The workshop will include sessions on CV writing, personal statement/ statements of purpose writing, drafting of application essays and research proposals, finding scholarship and funding opportunities, among other sessions.

Each of the three workshop days will be dedicated to a specific stream/discipline. You can register to join the day dedicated to the stream/discipline of your choice, a statement said.

The schedule of the event is on Monday, 29 August 2022: Social Sciences (includes Law, Management, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, etc).

On the second day, 30 August 2022: Science (includes all Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics degrees).

On day third, 31 August 2022: Humanities (includes Literature, Philosophy, Linguistics, History, Theology, etc).

The statement said refreshments will be provided. Due to limited capacity, the management will only be able to select 400 participants for each day. Selection will be on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS

Only students who have registered and received a ticket and confirmation from Project EduAccess will be allowed to enter the venue with the ticket and a valid ID card. The event is open to all Kashmiri students (current and graduates) and professionals.
