Grenade attack leaves civilian injured in central Kashmir, says police

Budgam: A civilian was injured after suspected militants hurled a grenade in Gobalpora Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said on Monday evening.

Police officials said that a civilian identified as Karan Kumar (20) son of Anil Kumar, a resident of Gopalpora area of Chadoora, was injured in the attack.

“Terrorists hurled grenade in Gopalpora Chadoora area of Budgam in which one civilian namely Karan Kumar Singh got injured. He has been shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment where his condition is stated to be stable. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Police Tweeted.

Kumar with multiple splinter injuries was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for treatment. His condition is stated to be ‘stable’ and is under treatment, they added.
