After AIIMS, ICMR witnesses cyber attacks; 6,000 times in 24 hours

New Delhi: After the servers of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi was hacked, another medical research website Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has been facing cyber-attacks.

In the span of 24 hours, the cyber attackers have intensified attacks more than 6000 times. The attack, as per Money Control, was reported on November 30.

The report quoting a government official from National Informatics Centre (NIC) said a series of attacks on the ICMR website was made from Hong Kong-based blacklisted IP address 103.152.220.133.

However, the ICMR’s concerned team has been informed about the attacks and they are further working on the website.

Pertinently, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences server was earlier attacked by hackers forcing the institute to work in a manual mode.
