SIA raids multiple locations in Kashmir, say officials

Srinagar: State Investigation Agency (SIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations in central, north and south Kashmir parts on Tuesday morning as part of its investigation of a militancy-related case registered at SIA.

An official said that sleuths of the investigating agency with the assistance of the local police and the CRPF carried out raids at five locations. The searches are being carried out in the districts of Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam, Sopore in ‘Narco Terrorism’ case, he said.

In Anantnag, the residence of Owais Gul son of Gull Mohammad, a resident of Hardu Akad is being searched by the probing agency. The residence of Farooq Ahmad Mir son of feth Mir, a resident of Nasrullahpora in Budgam was also being searched by the agency.

The searches are being carried out in FIR no 19 of 2022 registered at SIA Kashmir, the officer said, adding that further details of the raids will be shared later. (KDC)
