Machil military Op: Two militants killed, says police

Kupwara: Two militants have been killed in Machil Sector of Kupwara in north Kashmir as military operation against militants is underway in the area, police said on Thursday.

“In response to a specific tip-off from the Kupwara Police, a military operation has been initiated in the Machhal sector. As per initial reports, two militants have been killed by armed forces.

The contact between militants and Indian Army’s 56 Rashtriya Rifles and 53 Infantry Brigade was established this morning in Sardari Nar in Machil Sector.
