Srinagar-Jammu highway closed for vehicular movement

Ramban: Vehicular movement on Srinagar-Jammu will remain suspended for the whole day on May 21, said Rohit Baskotra, Senior Superintendent of Police, traffic, highway.

According to the SSP, no movement of any kind of vehicle including fresh perishable, livestock, security forces shall be allowed on the highway on May 21

“No vehicular movement shall be allowed after 6pm from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Doda-Kishtwar, Udhampur, Jammu and vice versa and from Nagrota (Jammu)from 5 pm, from Udhampur; from 6 pm towards Patnitop, Doda-Kishtwar, Ramban, Gool, Banihal, Srinagar and vice versa,” Baskotra told ANI.

Without giving any specific reason for this restriction he said the reasons are multiple.

He advised people to cooperate with the traffic cops and plan their journey accordingly.
