Anantnag: In the first two hours, voter turnout of 8.89% was reported for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections for Anantnag-Rajouri seat. The voting began at 7am and the first counting was released at 9am.

High turnout percentages have been noted in areas such as Nowshera (12.52%), Poonch Haveli (11.98%), and Thanna Mandi (ST) (11.32%), reflecting strong voter engagement. Conversely, Kulgam recorded the lowest turnout at 5.31%.
As the day progresses, voter turnout is expected to increase. Election officials urge all eligible voters to cast their ballots and participate in the democratic process.
A total of 2,338 polling stations were established across the sprawling Anantnag-Rajouri constituency.
Each station will be manned by four election personnel, including the presiding officer, with more than 9,000 polling staff, including reserves, mobilised duty.
Voters: The fate of 20 candidates will be decided by 18.36 lakh voters in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency. This electorate includes 9,33,647 male voters, 9,02,902 female voters, 27 third-gender voters, approximately 17,967 persons with disabilities, and 540 centenarians.
Geographical Spread: The constituency spans five districts: Kulgam, Anantnag, Poonch, Shopian (Jainanpora), and Rajouri. Notably, 19 border polling stations are located in the districts of Rajouri and Poonch, emphasizing the diverse and strategic nature of the area.
