‘Sensor error or local factor’: Delhi is hot but not 52.9 degrees Celsius yet, says IMD

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) clarified that the maximum temperature of over 52 degrees Celsius recorded in Delhi’s Mungeshpur on Wednesday was an “error in sensor or local factor.”

In a recent update, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has clarified that the record-breaking temperature of over 52 degrees Celsius recorded in Delhi’s Mungeshpur was an “error in sensor or local factor”.

The IMD is currently examining the data and sensors to verify the accuracy of the recorded temperature.
