Jammu: Five Indian army personnel and Special Police Officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police were injured after militants opened fire on a joint check post in Chattargala area of Doda district on Wednesday.
Militants also hurled a grenade at the checkpoint and armed forces and the police retaliated, officials told GNS. The exchange of fire continued until the early hours of Wednesday, as reported by Indian Express.
After the militants fled, the injured army personnel and a special police officer (SPO) were brought to the Bhaderwah hospital. Later, they were shifted to the Army’s Command Hospital at Udhampur.
