Lebanon reported on Thursday that Israeli assaults since last October have resulted in 1,540 deaths across the country, according to Anadolu Agency report.
The Disaster Risk Management Unit also revealed that 5,410 people have been injured, while 77,100 people have sought refuge in official shelters by Wednesday afternoon.
Shelters have expanded to 565 public facilities, including schools, educational complexes, and agricultural centres. The report highlighted that many more have fled the country, either flying out or crossing into Syria, and the actual number of displaced individuals is likely much higher than official records suggest.
In the past two days alone, General Security reported that 15,600 Syrian nationals and 16,130 Lebanese citizens have entered Syria.
Since Monday, Israel has carried out 7,034 airstrikes, 248 phosphorus bombings, and 133 incidents of gunfire, according to the report.
The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed at least 677 deaths and over 2,500 injuries from the ongoing attacks.
