Srinagar: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the “biggest terrorist after Adolf Hitler,” accusing him of turning Palestine and Lebanon into “gas chambers.”
Mehbooba previously condemned the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Israeli airstrikes and paused her election campaign for a day to support the people of Lebanon and Palestine.
She cited the International Criminal Court’s verdict against Netanyahu, calling him a criminal responsible for thousands of deaths in Palestine and Lebanon.
“Hitler had gas chambers to kill people, but Netanyahu has turned entire regions into gas chambers,” she remarked.
Mehbooba also criticised India’s ties with Netanyahu’s government, calling it a mistake to provide weapons and drones used to kill civilians. Responding to BJP’s criticism of her tweet calling Nasrallah a martyr, she highlighted the widespread protests across the country, saying the BJP should reconsider its stance given the public outcry.
