Missing forest guard’s body recovered from Sindh River in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: The body of a forest guard who went missing four days ago was recovered on Monday in the Gundroshan area of Ganderbal, officials said.

According to the Kashmir News Observer, 44-year-old Shameem Ahmad Mir drowned in the Sindh River near Compartment No. 1 of the Paribal forest division while on duty.

Despite continuous search and rescue efforts, he remained untraceable until Monday afternoon, when his body was finally recovered after four days of extensive operations, the official added.
