New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel for allegedly leaking sensitive information to Pakistan’s intelligence operatives.
Identified as Moti Ram Jat, the man is accused of espionage and has reportedly been passing on critical national security details to Pakistani intelligence officers (PIOs) since 2023, according to officials, The Print reported.
A Special Court at Patiala House has remanded him to NIA custody till June 6.
This comes amid a broader crackdown on espionage activities.
In the last two weeks, over 15 persons have been arrested across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
